Our Revit model becomes corrupt occasionally, and the constant is that a new team member has come onboard and is working in the model without having Autodesk Desktop Connector installed. The rest of the team has it, but one person does not.

Can that cause Revit models to become corrupt?

Only a single user to report on here with that config, me! I have Desktop Connector installed on Win 10 machines but one Win 7 machine I occasionally use for checking software builds on 7 does not. Have not seen that sort of problem.

The reason the Win 7 machine doesn't have it is required 'hand built' user services config as the app requests admin permissions. On our Win 10 build it works fine with a standard user account.

Hi,

Thanks for your post.

I do not think that the Revit file is being corrupted because Desktop Connector is not installed.

I would reinstall Revit on that machine and also the latest updates to see if that helps.

If not, then get all the steps to reproduce and log a support ticket with the Revit team.

The file and the Revit journal would also be useful for testing.

Cheers,

Luciane
