Download transmittals content using API

Hello,

I am trying to download the content of a transmittal using API. I found this API endpoint:

https://app.swaggerhub.com/apis/autodesk/bim360-docs/master#/Transmittals/get_projects__projectId__transmittals__transmittalId__documents

However, when I try to download the list of transmital for a project I am using the url:

https://developer.api.autodesk.com/project/v1/hubs/b.f1a18aea-....../projects/b.9e62..../transmittals

but I get an error like this:

{u'errorCode': u'org.mozilla.javascript.Undefined@0', u'moreInfo': u'https://forge.autodesk.com/en/docs/oauth/v2/developers_guide/error_handling/', u'developerMessage': u'The requested resource does not exist.'}

I use GET method to call that API.

Is there a way to download transmittals and transmittals documents using API?

Hello,

Facing a similar issue here. Could find any specific documentation regarding transmittals in any of the Forge APIs. If anyone found I way forward I would also appreciate it.

Hi @Anonymous , @hector.valleruiz ,

Unfortunately, as I know, Transmittals API has not been exposed. The Swagger you saw may be just a page of API Design, which is not supposed to be used in public.

Please bear with me checking with engineer team on the status of this API.

Unfortunately, no update on transmittals API. Sorry. We have a few APIs in the pipeline (which I presented at AU, such as Assets and Data Connecter). But transmittals are not in our near future radar at a moment. For Docs team, Custom Attributes API was the highest in Docs API wishlist. Transmittals comes up occasionally. We will keep in mind and give feedback to Docs team at the next planning discussion.

In a mean time, feel free to add to the idea station. It will help PMs to correct ideas and with each items with number of customers voting will help PM team prioritize among them. (It will help us push product team as well.)

Hi API for the Transmittals and Reviews it is the very important for integration BIM 360 in corporate systems. We need a data for corporate reporting system and we have not possibility for automatization this everyday process

Another user here desperately needing API support for reviews and transmittals. This is such a critical piece of the integration puzzle.

Thanks for the detailed response @mikako_harada , is there something else we can do to help raise awareness about this? (besides commenting in the forum you mentioned).

Transmittals API is still not available for BIM 360 and ACC in 2023. Naturally, we can't even send or check transmittals on any of the mobile apps.

It is absurd that most of our communication is done on mobile devices now but we can't even check transmittal notification emails on our mobile devices properly when we click on the link in the email, except in a poorly performing mobile web version of BIM 360 or ACC.

So many things happened with Autodesk since the beginning of my project back in 2018, BIM 360 TEAM has been phased out, acquired PlanGrid, now BIM 360 Docs is being phased out in favour of ACC, Forge is renamed to APS, Autodesk gets a new logo and everything, yet a simple request to be able to send transmittals on mobile apps or addition of transmittals API is still not in our 'near future'. Now after nearly 6 years later, my project is approaching the grand opening and the 'Transmittals' on my mobile device, or an API to build my own app to do that is STILL not available.

Is there any update about transmittal APIs?
Some of our enterprise level end clients require Transmittal APIs.

Our work flow needs a transmittal to be created using API after document is approved. If there is no any API then is there any other alternate, like can we configure in ACC to create Transmittal after approval?
