topic Caching on render farm not working? in Bifrost Forum

I am trying to cache an MPM simulation on our farm, but it only works if I hook up a conversion node from Bifrost Geo to Maya Geo. It is still caching through the Bifrost node (I am not caching the Maya geo) but I can only get it to work when I hook it up through the conversion node. I am trying to avoid having the conversion node to save resources, so I'm wondering if I did something wrong?

I am not really sure, but maybe it's because nothing is pulling on the bifrost data unless I hook it up to a maya geo conversion node? It plays and caches fine in the viewport on my local machine without the conversion node, and I read here that batch session and mayapy are supported, so not sure what step I'm missing. I tried both write_Alembic and file_cache to native bob format, both have the same issue. Also I can't use bifcmd right now because it is dependent on some maya nodes

I am suspecting now it is because the viewport is not pulling on the data perhaps? Because when I freeze the viewport locally, it also doesn't work. Will have to do more testing, but if anyone knows how to get it working in a batch maya session please let me know
