Error converting any file

Hi,

whenever I try to convert a .dwg file to anything, I get:

"The files listed below could not be saved due to a sharing violation or disk write problem"

The file that is named here is the source-file. The source-file is accessible (local harddisk, also tried local USB-stick) and readable/deletable.

The destination is also accessible. I tried saving that into a zip, the zip is generated but the "Conversion.txt" inside the zip contains the very same error-message.

I tried multiple versions of DWG TrueView, to no avail.

d0.dwg is one of the files, I tried to convert.

Has someone any clue as to why that could potentially happen?

That's a system level issue: try this tip, if it does not help, seek out an IT person for additional guidance https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/dwgconvert-error/m-p/5455941#M69050

I'm a software-developer since 40 years, I have developed operating-systems, hardware-devices, device-drivers and application software. Whom you think, should I seek out to 😄

To add to this, my friend who is running multiple computers with CAD software - also DWG TrueView - was also NOT able to convert these files. Running into the very same error that I experience.

So I guess, this is either a basic issue of the TrueView application or ... my files are just too old to be converted. They are actually from 1997.

Should someone be able to convert the d0.dwg that I have attached to my initial posting and can send me a newer version DWG that I can consume, I am willing to pay for that. Not an excessive amount, but it should pay off for you.

I have a total of six files to be converted, 90 - 400 Kb (that includes d0.dwg).

Perhaps whomever 's CAD program you use (not this freebie viewer) that you need an old format DWG file converted for perhaps.

Convert the DWG file to.... what? It is a release 12 (from the year 1995?-97) file format, any modern CAD program from any CAD vendor can open it including any version of AutoCAD since the year 1995?-97 without much effort at all, no conversion needed.

I have it open in AutoCAD 2021 at the moment, nice railings elevations.

Can you save it in a more modern file-format?

My tool says:

ERROR: This version of LibreDWG is only capable of decoding version r13-r2018 (code: AC1012-AC1032) DWG files.

And either attach it here or send it to my mail? ningnang (at) web.de

Hi,
thanks that file loads and converts on my system. How much would you charge to convert six more of them, roughly the same size.
Can we move to another way of communication so that I don't have to upload my whole drawings here?
