Error report error report

In case AutoCAD tries to send an error report after a crash, instead of going to the autodesk site and getting a message like "install patch" or "we'll work on it", we now get dumped into google with no results for trying to find "https://errorreport.autodesk.com/progress.jsp?xid=-%14%1A%08%11%04%14%0E%7CrE%40GI%0E%00%00%2C%16O%5EDg%5DF_CGaS%11%0BDcR%16%1C%1C%069%08%1C%05%7CrECD_K%0C%06+%00O%5B" (for example).

This is using Edge, AutoCAD 2018, win 10...

That would be Internet Explorer.

File Explorer is the replacement for Windows Explorer.

It's a bug report for the bug reporting... if any question: how do I make autocad not do this?

Good idea! Though my default browser in IE and autocad insists on using Edge... It's at least worth looking into.

I'm having this same issue. I would prefer to not have to come up with a workaround (e.g. changing my default browser). Has anyone received word as to whether the error reports are going through, or how to keep them from being entered as a Google search, instead of a web address?

I've had WAY TOO MANY crashes in Revit 2019, and based on the lack of responses (exactly 0) from Autodesk, I assume they are not receiving the error reports. Or, maybe they just ignore them because the program becomes less compatible with Windows 10 after every update. Case and point: My Revit was crashing at the splash screen during every startup. After trying every solution suggested on the internet, I finally figured out that I needed to manually change the licensing - by editing a .data file located here: ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\829K1_2019.0.0.F... (I couldn't believe I had not thought of that sooner!!!).

CERs are only responded to in real time if the solution is known: otherwise you will never hear anything from anyone at Autodesk, CER is simply a crash-reporting tool for them.

Sounds like your system setup may need a review as well: an office full of REVIT2019 users with server component over here in WIn10Pros/WinServer2012 and we are not seeing crashes.

I have a similar issue. I am currently getting frequent crashes on a project in 2018 with a display error - current 2018 version, current graphics driver, acceleration turned off as recommended in posts.

Why can't an error report be sent when Edge is your browser?

I have the same issue.

Edge is the Microsoft default browser. Autodesk should be able to work with it.

Internet Explorer is out of date and will not open many web pages, so it is not practical to set as default program. Google Chrome is a hog so not good to run with Revit.

Autodesk please fix the bug in your bug reporting to use Edge.
