Iso title block - additional notes and tables

Hi all, I'd very much appreciate your help. I have a project with a custom title block setup. When I run an iso, the final drawing includes a text block containing notes and an additional revisions table, which is what I want. The thing I'm not understanding is why I can't see these elements in the dwt file when editing the title block. I'm trying to replicate this in another project, but want to understand how this has been setup. I'll attach screenshot of what I see when editing the dwt, and then what the final iso looks like. I've also attached the project. Any help would be great.

Anything that is not the TitleBlock gets stripped from the template. This appears to be hardcoded with no way to prevent it. Not sure why that is, but it's always been that way.

Hi Jason, thanks for your reply. Yes I see that anything outside the Title Block isn't supposed to be included in the auto iso, but it this projects case, the notes in the bottom corner and revision tables get added when the iso is being generated. The last P3D admin set this project up, but is no longer with us so I'm struggling to see how he managed this.

I meant to clarify that "Screenshot 2026-06-11 102621" is what I see in the Title block editor within project settings. Then "Screenshot 2026-06-11 102701" is what the final auto iso produces, both as quick iso and prod iso. Not sure how the admin did this?

If I remember correctly, you can add notes on other things to the .dwt directly in AutoCAD - but you need to do it after any iso style template modifications via project setup in Plant 3D. Any time you open the template through Project Setup, it strips all content but the title block. You'd need to test to confirm.

Thanks Jason, I will look into that but anymore light you can shed on that would be very helpful. I've tried looking in the isoconfig file and atr file but can't see how the last admin achieved this.

I think he added the notes and other blocks to the .dwt file directly in AutoCAD, not through the Project Setup in Plant 3D. Any time you edit the template through Project Setup, the extra bits get deleted. So you need to open the .dwt again afterwards (in regular AutoCAD or P3D, but not via Project Setup) to re-add the other stuff back again.

When you say he added them in AutoCAD, I'm assuming you mean he's set it up to do this automatically in some way? As when the dwg is created and opened all the notes and other tables are there straight away. How would have he achieved this do you know?

I mean open the .dwt file in autocad, add the notes , save the .dwt. Nothing automatic.

ah, I see thanks for clarifying. In this case it is done automatically, no manual intervention. I've attached the project, if you want to check yourself but appreciate you may not have time. I'm just clutching at straws trying to figure it out 😂

Sorry Jason, I just got what you meant after I posted my response. Just checked and you are correct! He's opened the dwt in AutoCAD, added the extras and then saved it. That explains why, when I initially open the title block from project setup the extras appear for 2 seconds then disappear. Thanks a lot - this has my scratching me head for ages.
