Line number Tag assign

Hi Everyone,

There is something wrong in my Model. I can not assign any line number to my lines or even components and all line numbers are being save in 0 layer.

I have modelled my components and now I want to assign line numbers to each connected series. I select all the connected parts, go to properties and try to assign a new line number Tag. But it remains Unassigned after that and it does not make a new layer for it.

Is something missing in project set up?

I suspect that the line number TAG is faulty and is therefore not processed correctly in the Plant 3D model on the pipe line

Thanks. Do you see something wrong here? How could I delete the last line (TagFormatName) which seems unnecessary and problematic..

It is sometimes good that system fields cannot be deleted because Plant 3D would not work without them.

It would also make sense to activate the ‘LineNumber’ format in the selection list of the TagFormatName row, otherwise Plant 3D will not work with the line number assignment in the Plant 3D model!

Apparently the context of your task is more complex than you thought.
We need more detailed information about how you work with AutoCAD Plant 3D so that we can find a solution if necessary.
A video about the workflow of your problem could be very useful.

I have got the same problem. But when I checked with data manager I see that the components are assigned to the line number I entered. To make sure it works go to project setup and assign layer to line number. if you have this option already applied you should "set current another option → apply → set current the layer by line number option → apply and OK.

In this case the layer will be changed to the line number's layer even if you see it unassigned in properties.

It seems a bug that Autodesk should fix
