AP3D ISOMETRIC DIMENSION SET-UP

Hi,

We’ve built a model featuring two plates mounted on either end of a 78" pipe (connected to one side of a tee). However, when generating the ISO, some unusual dimensions appeared on one end of the pipe—please refer to the image below.

Could this be related to a project setup configuration? Specifically:

Is there a setting we need to disable to prevent that dimension from being generated?
Is there a way to ensure the dimension extends to the open end of the line instead?

Would appreciate any insights or experiences others can share on this.

I'm having trouble with the fact that these 78" nominal diameters aren't even listed in the AWWA anymore. Therefore, I can't reconstruct this pipeline to check how the isometric drawing is dimensioned.

Can you upload the PCF file for this isometric drawing?
Please rename the *.pcf file to *.txt first, otherwise the upload won't work.

Please find attached pcf file. (change extension to pcf).

I just made a work around for now. I added a blank ISO message with 'Draw dimension to message' enabled.

And this is the result.

Hi @h_eger,

It is the same reference I am using. It will just stop dimensioning at the ISO message.

That is why I just added a blank ISO message at the end.

We are still using AP3D 2024 in ACC.

There were a lot of small bugs with the 2024 iso generation. At least make sure you have the latest updates if you cannot upgrade to the 2026. There is backwards compatibility between P3D 2026 and 2024, so you'll be able to open your project without needing to migrate data.

I will suggest to the team to upgrade to 2026. My wild guess is that they will have the upgrade for the next project. Thanks for the info.
