How to see what files have been imported/translated?

Hi all

When importing models (.step in my case) to Plant 3D, they are first translated. After this translation is complete, a popup appears to the bottom right corner of the screen (see screenshot). By clicking the blue filepath, the model gets inserted to the open drawing. However, if I import another model before inserting the previous one, where does the first one go? Is it inaccessible after not clicking the blue path when it first appears?

@mimenoh ,

please always complete the import process in full, otherwise your phenomenon will occur.
Please always import into a new drawing, as the block names of the STEP files can lead to duplicate entries and the result will be falsified.

This leads me to believe, that if I don't insert an imported file and begin importing a new file, the first file "disappears" and is not saved in any form that is accessible later ?

This is correct, there is no history of imported step files.
Only the last imported step file is available.

No, the first model isn't lost. It's stored in the referenced folder (usually Plant3D202x\CollaborationCache\TranslatedModels) and can be manually inserted later using the Insert command or by browsing to the translated file.

Hi!

I seem to be missing said CollaborationCache folder, but that might be due to the fact that we don't use BIM 360 and and there fore don't have Autodesk Collaboration available for us.

Is this feature only available with Autodesk Collaboration?
