I have created a set of flanges EN1092-1 PN16 slip on plate flanges which are not available in any catalogues. When I insert a set of flanges into a pipe they work ok. When I insert a valve which I have created the flanges that appear are the weld neck type which are also in the spec. I have tried to substitute the weld neck for a slip on flange but I get an error message, pressure class, diameter and facing do not match, I have checked in the catalogue and all values are the same. Screenshot of error message attached. Any ideas please?

Check your auto flange compound joints for the connecting valves to the flange in project setup. Also check the end type on the valve as well.

Hello @Richard687

Do you have this error when you try connect custom flange and valve manually?

If yes, could you attach screenshot from SpecEditor? I'd like to see Connection Port Properties for FL-type port in General Properties tab of your flange.

Generally, you must be sure that flange (FL-port) and valve have the same the following properties: DN, PressureClass and Facing. Pay attention on PressureClass, be aware that 1.6 and 1,6 are different values.

Hi Artem,

I have tried manually but still same error. I attach screenshots of weld
neck flange that works with the valve, slip on flange that does not work and
globe valve.

Best Regards,

Richard Carr

329 Alcester Road,

Burcot, Bromsgrove,

B60 1BQ UK

Tel: 01527 836 390

Mobile: 07879 454 209

mail@deltadesigncadservices.com

www.deltadesigncadservices.com

To find out the error reason do the following actions:

1. Insert a flange valve (which is supposed to be connected with the custom flange)

2. Insert your custom flange and try to connect it with the valve. The same error will appear - it's normal.

3. Right click one of the details and select "Connect Component to Adjacent" command, then select adjacent component.

4. After that you will see an error, but not exactly the same. There will be more clear information (lool at the pic below) to fix match problem.

do you mean you attached new screenshots? I don't see them.

So if you have wrong pressure class, you should correct it by SpecEditor - at first correct Catalog, then update Spec. After that check spec updates in plant 3d.

Are you sure you don't have a space before the 150 in one of the parts pressure class? The image you posted indicates a space between the comma and the 150, and I cannot tell if that is message formatting or an extra space in your port definition. I did a quick test in our catalog, and the software does not trim leading spaces.

But I fixed it now, it was a combination of deleting and adding again the gaskets/bolt sets in my spec as well as enabling the joint of imperial and metric parts.
