Custom victaulic and flange Valves not inserting

dear sir..
i am new user for autocad plant 3d and i sue autocd plant 3d ver 14
i try to modify the grooved material spec and try to add some valve and flange from victaulic catalog

after that i try to insert the valve and flange and get message " can not connect the parts Flange - can not find gasket......"

i do need help...

Hi @Anonymous

if you want to use a grooved connection you need to have a clamp in your spec, and also the connected parts need to have the same size the same pressure class and the same facing.

Please make sure you fulfilled the requirements.

What is the endconnection of the valve you want to insert?

Hi @Anonymous

please check your victaulic catalog and add the filter "fasteners" to it.

You will see some clamps. (Like in my picture)

Please add one of them to your Spec in the spec editor -> https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-plant-3d/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Plant3D-UserGuide/files/GUID-8153AE39-B0E5-4AFE-AB44-FA3F7E11D63C-htm.html

Now it should work.

If not, please jump in your project setup -> Plant 3D DWG Settings -> Connection Settings and look into the "Required propertys" of the grooved joint connection.

Like you see in my first post picture I need Size, facing and pressure class to match.

So please make sure the propertys in "Required propertys" of your grooved joint connection are all the same in your pipe, valve and clamp. Connection type of pipe and valve should be GRV and clamp UNDEFINED_ET.

If all this doesn't work please tell us the connection type of the valve, the pipe and you said something about a flange? In victaulic you only need a pipe, a valve and a clamp or am I wrong?

is correct or not..
i have tried but it doesn't work especially inserting the valve

Can you please tell me what is the connection type (FL, GRV, WF ... ) of your valve and what for components are in your spec?
