FW = welding seams on the construction site workshop
FFW = weld seam on the construction site directly on the installed pipeline

The pipe (2) has a length of 2100, so it comes to a total length of 6200!

Good Morning,

I´m trying so setup a ISO-STYLE for a comming project. This requires to generate Iso´s with makeup-length.

In a fresh and clean Project i added the makeup-length to 100mm in the standard style "Final A2" .

In a 3d Drawing i added 3 pipes with 2000mm and a tee. Each side has a diffrent weld type "shop/field/fieldfit".

so far so good...

When i check the generated iso, i have some confusing length values in the diffrent boms.

In the normal Bom, the length is 6.2m instead of 6.1.

In the cut list it shows correct.

I hope someone can help me to fix this and get the correct values.

Working with Plant 3D 2021 with all avaiable updates.

Project setup was clean and fresh without any templates.

Iso-Style "Final A2" , only change was the value of the MakeUpLength in ProjectSetup

greetings Patrick

Dear @patrick.frahnGQM49 ,

Why, it's all right on your isometry.
You have 3 pipe pieces with a system length of 2000mm.
You designed this with a connection to a T-piece.
All 3 pipe pieces have an open end and so the MakeUpLength calculation is sufficient
1 pipe piece with FW = 50mm MakeUpLength + an open end with 50mm MakeUpLength
Another pipe piece with FFW = 50mm MakeUpLength + an open end with 50mm MakeUpLength
Results in a calculation of (2000x3) + (4x50) = 6200
If you put a welding neck flange on the open pipe pieces for FW and FFW, you will get a total length of 6100mm

According to my calculations, Plant 3D works correctly

Thx for your answer h.eger,

Maybe i missunderstood something, but ich thought "shop = pre welded in shop / field = welded on field / FieldFit = welded on field and pipe with overlength/makeuplength.

Where is then the diffrence between FW and FFW ?

I tried a new iso with flanges on each open end and get the same result.

just for my understanding,

all pipes are 2000mm in the 3D Modell and overlength value in Iso-Setup is 100mm.

When i define a weld as "FieldFit", he change the length in the cut list for the affected pipe to 2000+100.

All pipes where the welds are "Field" or "FieldFit" are affected of the overlength value and he change the length in the BOM.
