Visually distinguish by status in Plant3D?

Is there a way to visually distinguish between "new" and "existing" (or other) status settings for piping components?

In Revit it is trivial to set filters based on any parameter which really helps when modelling. If you're looking at a section of the project that is "Future" and there is a "new" component erroneously left in there then it will stick out like a sore thumb!

Appreciate any pointers.

Thanks for that @h_eger ! I don't suppose there is a way to do this just in one view (or .dwg) rather than being applied to the whole project?

Having a working view that doesn't mess with anything else would really help but I suspect may not be compatible with how AutoCAD handles things...

As said by @h_eger , apart from changing the color, there is no specific Plant 3D function for this, except to create, through DotNet programming, a new command that would do this.

Is there any way to assoiate a Status to a Layer or vise versa? If I want to status a pipe line as existing, I have to change to the existing status and also change the layer? Surely there is a better way. How is everyone handling this? I'm new to P3D and am cleaning up our neglected project template. Currently we have a tool palette for Lines and have symbols for each line type-status combination. Primary Line - New, Primary Line - Existing, Primary Line - Future, etc. Those are all assinged to an associated layer, line styles, etc. I noticed we also have Graphical Styles for assets set up the same way. Is this the correct approach? I come from the Revit world, so I'm used to selecting an object and changing its phase (i.e. Status), which in turn changes the appearance based on the view template.
