I have all this issues above as well as dimensions are now locked into inch/decimal format. So disappointed by this worthless app. ArcSite is so much better, line types, dimensions are editable AND IT WORKS AS DESCRIBED

one would think a company as well versed in computer aided drafting as Autodesk would release a product with basic functionality; certainly not the case with this POS.
Maybe it’s like similar paradigm shifts in markets like wood to fiberglass manufacturing. Larger market leaders were slow to adapt new processes and did not realize their core demographic had shifted their modality and by the time they caught on, new or more agile companies had claimed their market. Autodesk needs to have their qa project team to read theses posts and take heed. Your core dedicated users ( me since r13) for instance are freely advising your users to use other software on your own support forum!!
I have reached my end with this failed attempt to use this app in any capacity, I cancelled my subscription after re downloading yet another worthless revision with fewer options and reduced functionality

lazy devolvement

send your project managers back to pmi school because they have forgot about 13 processes for quality assurance and pre release functionality testing. Refer to your table of ittos for basic guidance and do your effing jobs!!

I can easily draw lines, but they're useless. I can't edit their length: no pop-up keypad (although it's enabled), no click on line to edit as before, no object attributes button at bottom of page! (iPad Pro).

I tried uninstalling the app, signing in and out and in, and nothing works.

Is there a way to restore these critical functions? Right now, ACAD mobile is completely unusable!

Thanks for any help you can provide!

What dialog? AutoCAD mobile used to work - it had a keypad, etc. The last update removed all chances of editing objects. No idea how to get things back, since they’re enabled in preferences but don’t appear!

So now it's only 99% broken instead of 100%. No way to edit, no edit vertex. But it's great to draw a one dimensional box with a pop-up, at least!

Thanks for the detail around using your finger. Very weird. I played with it awhile, but with my pencil.

This is a stupid as hell glitch, and their support is terrible, but, I think the app overall is getting better. The xref manager is now at least letting you review zip files. As a reference tool its pretty functional, just not for drafting. The layer manager is getting a bit better as well.

Come on Autocad, you got this.

Just to leave no stone unturned, I sent a rather long list of how architects and landscape architects are likely to use the app to the "feedback" email at Autodesk. Then I had to explain (since they're obviously clueless) what this means: editing, drawing, sharing locally because unbuilt structures don't have internet access. I have no hope that anything good will happen, since they pretty much bragged about disabling the app for no good reason. Good to us, not to them. I don't think any of the developers of this app ever actually did anything remotely like design.

One of my comments was NEVER to force paying customers to do beta testing. Something they should already know, or at least someone at AutoDesk should! It seems these devs are running amok, and will end up causing everyone to cancel their subscriptions and find other solutions. If that's the true goal, they're right on target!

My feature list

draw lines, polylines, etc.

edit lines, polylines, etc.

local export of dwg, pdf and jpg to local drives, AirDrop, etc. All things that need to work when there's no internet connection.

get an opt-in beta testing program up and running for feedback

hire a designer to oversee what they're doing, someone who actually might use this to do some form of architecture, landscape or engineering out in the field.

So, now I'm done. I've done everything I could with Autodesk and AutoCAD mobile. I can move on with a clear conscience and stop pounding my head against a wall.

P.S. an Autodesk e-mail said posts will "escalate" without any response. But what about when the answers are all corroboration, and the damage to the app was deliberately done by the dev team? Where does it go then? (yes, I think I know.... )

Still no changes here?

This is not making my life in small business any easier.... i paid good money for an iPad Pro to run this app on instead of the MacBook/surface pro as i thought this is where things were heading.... now i seem to have a wasted investment and the only way out of this is to spend massive amounts of money.

i need this fixed/ or told how to get the command pad back.

Filling in the other new pop up pad is none sense and lacking other commands - eg “add” - is a rather important tool.

Please i need a solution.

Autodesk has taken our money and left us hanging. This is NOT a company whose products I’ll use again, considering their absolute disdain for user needs. Remember Quark? Well someone else will come along with a better product, and by the time they realize it was bad to screw over their users, it will be too late. I hope.

No response regarding my feature list, nothing but BS “developer responses” in App Store reviews, app still broken, awaiting “improvements”. No light at the end of the tunnel, considering how old this thread is getting with no meaningful dialog, no solution in sight.

Canceled subscription, found other workflows, no confidence that anyone on this app’s development team has any clue at all about their users’ needs and worse, they don’t seem to care or they would restore the previous working version so we could get some work done.

And I’m tired of paying the devs to do their beta testing!

Great way to alienate your users forever, Autodesk!

I attended two different sessions at Autodesk in Vegas on this subject. The staff responsible does seem to be passionate about the project, but I think they are still in a cheerleading mode, trying to get enough users to get the resources from the company to fully develop it. I did speak directly to Edik, the project lead, specifically about the need for better support, especially this forum. I know he heard me, but I'm unclear how much he can influence it.

As to the functionality, I did find their reasoning worth repeating. The latest update has had so many issues in part because they switched from a standalone engine to a stripped version of the normal CAD engine, and they are having significant problems with the "mobile" aspects like touch screen. The apple pencil features are completely disabled for now, but will come back(no they wouldn't tell me a timeline). The switch to the CAD engine is a big piece of why XREF are now working, though with limitations. I specifically asked him for a "unload" feature for the XREF.

I get the frustrations, and expressed them directly in person, hopefully we will continue to see improvements. That said, the improvements to XREF and Save to Mobile within CAD are for me worth the current limited functionality of many of the drafting tools. I'm really hoping they can sort them out, as I really like aspects of the new integration, and don't want to have to transfer between different programs.

They still shouldn't have rolled it out incomplete and guinea pigged all of us. Very tacky.

Thanks for the great into (that nobody at Autodesk would divulge). Looks like I can write off this app for the foreseeable future, at least until after my subscription expires.

Too bad they didn’t consider their users who depended on this app when they made us all involuntary alpha testers (I’d say beta, but sounds like they’re not even that far along). So I’ll have paid for a 9 month subscription for alphaware that does not do what I need, although it used to.

ACAD ran on what, a 386? and they can’t get the thing to work on a much more powerful iPad? Maybe we need a command line interface!
