topic XRefs and Transparency in AutoCAD Map 3D Forum

So I'm having trouble with transparency. I have a floor plan that is XRef'd in, and on some interior spaces I added a solid hatch with transparency. Now to plot the hatch's transparency I obviously have to check the "Plot Transparency" box - and it is checked. The problem is that the XRef is being plotted with transparency as well and look really faded. I've checked all the layers in the XRef file itself and they all have transparency set to 0.

What is wrong? I'm on AutoCAD '14

check XDWGFADECTL sysvar. Also check transparency for layer xref is on. Also check LAYLOCKFADECTL if xref layer is locked.

There are several discussions - search using google with "autocad xref fade"
