Murph,

I attach the drawings manually. The queries work fine with manual execution.

Do you have any ideas of how (what circumstances) an index can be lost in the queried drawing / how the indexes can become bad?

Thanks,
Hi all,

Do any one have a solution to execute multiple queries available on the project workspace with a single command or click?

This issue posted at
http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?threadID=330556
did not receive any response for 3 days. Hence, I am trying here. (Hope Annie forgives me)

Thanks,
Hello MNRaghu.

Anne might forgive the 'double post', but I don't know how if she'll forgive you for calling her 'Annie'? 🙂

Anyways.
What you are asking can only be accomplished with some customization... You need to create a 'wrapper' to call all of the required queries in one shot...

Hope this helps
Anne, Thanks for soft remarks.

Can any one help me programatically getting all the names of saved queries on the project workspace and executing them in draw mode?

I tried this way, by manually supplying the names of the saved queries.
This executed only some queries.
If I execute the left out queries manually, it works perfectly, which the program did not perform.

(foreach item (list "All_Except_Line_Polys" "Conduit" "Graphic_Lines" "Commercial"
"Fire" "Hydrant" "Irrigation" "Residential" "Sampling"
"Easements_Polygon" "PipeCasing_Polygon" "Station_Polygon"
)
(setq qid (ade_qlqrygetid item))
(ade_qlloadqry qid)
(ade_qrysettype "draw")
(ade_qryexecute)
(command "zoom" "e")
)

Also, I would also request to get me some ideas to improve the coding and get complete output.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks,
The only suggection I know right now is to double check the spelling of the
query names. Every once in a while my keyboard would misspell a word or two.
What it sounds like is, it would preform the queries up to a point and then
exit on error with out a error message.

Thanks Warren and Murph,

Warren,
Your program works, but for some queries, I get the error 'Executing data query...the index does not exist...done', and the features are not extracted from these queries.

I do not see any fault of your program, it seems to be perfect.

Do you have any idea why I get the above error.?
--------
Murph,

The program given by Warren takes the queries from the drawing. I will not supply any names, all it takes by itself from the drawing. Hence, there is no chance of misspelling the query names.

Even then, my queries are not completely executed when tried programatically.

These work fine when each individual query is clicked and executed manually.

Any further suggestions?

RaghuMN,
I ran Warren's routine with dwgs that were attached that had no indexes or
bad index that I knew existed with out any problems. The queries (4
different type) ran ok. Are you attaching the dwgs manually or doing it in
your program? If you are attaching them though code it may be that part of
it that is causing the errors.

A few ways that I have corrupted indexes are by creating OD tables with the
same name but different field names. Doing some alter property queries and
then saving those back to the original dwg. If you are using extrenal
databases linked to Map and editting the records outside of Map.

What you may want to try is to re-index the attached dwgs from the drawing /
maintenence menu.
