So do you just create copies of the base maps to distribute to the Map users? How does it work if the Map users need to modify a corridor or something else created with Civil?

Does anyone here have to share files with a Civil 3D user?
Our office just updated everything to 2006 and we are now told that we can't share files between Map and Civil. I know that we could never share the dynamics of Civil, but will a file be corrupted if Map works with a Civil file and the Civil tries to use it again? I would love some input on this.

We share files with Civil 3D and Map 3D 2006. Has been no problem so far.
Just the base files, not the dynamics or the Civil stuff
This seems like a big issue to me, aren't there any other offices out there running both Map and Civil? Our office is struggling to understand how to work this out.

Hi,

If you have both products installed why not make copy of a Civil drawing
with some Civil objects in it.

Open it in Map, muck about, open it in Civil and see for yourself?
