Missing a few layers

For class, my professor had us download a "prototype file" that has all of the necessary presets we need for class. I've noticed that I am missing a lot of layers that I should have. Whenever opening the file, it says I have a few missing reference files. Could this be why? Or does it have anything to do with the fact that I'm using a Mac? Please help

Ask professor to send you eTransmit package of the "prototype file":
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-0C34FD41-C06A-4CEE-B5C6-D783A1774062-htm.html
in this case none of the files related to prototype will be missing.

Why do you think so?
From your screenshots I see that only external raster images are missing, but they couldn't affect layers in the drawing.

This is your real problem !! you have a missed references file that must be exist and received from your sender .

This is because you don't have the previous missed files .
