Thank you for responding.

My tutor was able to trim and offset a centreline from his system(not Mac) without the explode command. Is this limitation only present in Mac?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Elizabeth,

Centerline is a special kind of AutoCAD objects and you cannot trim or offset them.
To convert it to ordinary object you can use EXPLODE command to explode centerline to line object, then you will be able to trim / offset it.
In AutoCAD for Windows CENTERLINE behaves the same way as on Mac.
I think your tutor worked with LINE object with CENTER livetype assigned to it.

Ok. Can I achieve that by following your explode command advice?
