Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Dario,

>>>>I need to do this with a complex object like I show in the picture.

Sorry, but you forgot to attach picture 😞

Anyway, one of the ways is:

1/ Сreate block from the objects you want to stretch vertically - use BLOCK command. Pay attention to Base point - it should be near objects in the block, this will be useful in the next step.

2/ Now select block you created and set Y scale you need for it in the Properties Inspector:

3/ Optionally - explode block with EXPLODE command. You can also remove definition of this block in the drawing with PURGE command.

I'm new to Autocad for Mac and I can't find a way to stretch an object vertically (only in the Y axis). You can easily do this simple function for pictures in most programs but I can't seem to find a way to do it in Autocad. This is not scaling because scaling affects both the X and Y axis. I need to do this with a complex object like I show in the picture. All I need is to increase the distance between every horizontal line in a proportionate manner.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain. It's the only solution I was able to find for this problem.

Assuming the Mac version behaves like the Windows version (and it's reasonable to assume it would) then be aware that step (3) will also explode any polylines (even if they didn't contain arcs) that were part of the original insert, and you may have to rejoin them.
