OK, but do you have an answer to my question? Can you turn Autocad's crosshairs into a normal pointer or is that not doable? I haven't found any training info or internet tips that says you can do that. Thanks.

Is there any way to change my cursor to a pointer so it looks like the cursor in every other computer program (CAD or not) known to man? Why does the AutoCAD cursor look like a crosshair? I feel like I'm playing Missile Command at the carwash arcade in 1983. I've shrunk it's proportions, but it's still clunky, imprecise and obscures what I'm trying to select. Any ideas?

Training may help: there is a learning curve to the program. Ask your bosses for paid in-person tutorials to get you past these basics.
