Drawing Appears Differently In Viewport vs In Model Space

Sometimes this will randomly happen and I have no idea why. This is not the usual line type scale factor issue between model space and paper space. My lines are appearing totally different in my drawing (model space) vs my sheet (paper space). They go from being straight to diagonal, I have screenshots to show what I'm talking about. It'll only happen where some of the lines appear different, it's not all of them. I tried REGEN and REGENALL and nothing's changed.

Unfortunately, I just ended up redrawing the lines and it fixed them from being diagonal back to horizontal. I would still like to know if anyone else has had experience with this same issue.

Hard to say without having your drawing at hand, but maybe there is a problem related to the 3D position of the endpoints of the lines in your drawing.

Yes this is AutoCad for Mac.

Hi @ashley.kassis

From the snapshot shared I could see that the crosshair color is changed to red and green and the crosshair is not exactly straight, which means the UCS is slightly rotated. UCS gets slightly rotated unknowingly sometimes while "Panning" holding the scroll button and pressing the shift key. To fix this type in the command(in modelspace) "PLAN" and then select "World" from command line or type in the "W" and enter. Hope that fixes your problem 🙂
