Hi @kmarmstrong ,

The object you are trying to copy-paste is 3D object and the view direction in target drawing is not perpendicular to the XY plane, the crosshair says about this:

So you need to use PLAN command in target drawing to correct the problem with view direction.

I'm copying a simple object, picking a base point, and pasting it into another drawing and the chamfer gets distorted from one drawing to the next. Why? See photos.

Still getting back into the swing of CAD and don't remember how to share/save just portions. Maybe you can tell me, lol. Here are both full drawings. So simple yet so annoying. Thanks or the help. Really saves so much time for me to ask someone who is so experienced!

Wow. Easy fix. I don't really get the understanding behind it. I get the one is 3D but why should the direction of the PDF underlay matter? Anyways, probably too hard to explain all that. THANK YOU! Fixed.
