Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

There is no Sample Directory in AutoCAD fro Mac, because Sample files are not included in AutoCAD for Mac installation. So you can put your sample files anywhere inside your Home folder on your Mac (for example you can create a special folder in Documents folder).

Sheet Sets folder on Mac is here:

/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/local/AutoCAD 2015/R20.0/enu/Template/SheetSets/ (you need substitute YOUR_YSER_NAME with the name of your Home folder)

You can download standard AutoCAD sample files from the first page of AutoCAD for Mac online help:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2015/ENU/

Dynamic Blocks included with AutoCAD 2015 (in Content palette) are here:

/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2015/AutoCAD 2015.app/Contents/Resources/Support/ContentLibrary/DynamicBlocks

I am taking a course on AutoCAD using AutoCAD 2015 for MAC. The course is written for a Windows based machine (see instructions below).

"Please review the attached files in the Sample Directory. Assuming Macs have the same filing structure as PCs, you would find the folder under:

Program Files>Autodesk>AutoCAD 2015>Sample

Particularly look at the Sheet Sets folders and the en.us folder".

I went to Applications>Autodesk>AutoCAD 2015 but do not see the Sample folder in which to copy my attached file samples into for viewing.

I also do not see the Sheet Sets folder and the en.us folder.

I would appreciate any insight on how to find these and navigate.

Thank you.

Hi Maxim,
Thanks for the response.
I need to copy sample files into the Sample File Folder that does not currently exist in the AutoCAD 2015 MAC as you indicated.
I am not sure what you are referring to as the Home folder on my MAC...please let me know.
If I understand your directions I can create a Sample File Folder in My Documents Folder as shown in the attached Word document and copy all my Sample Files and other related files into this new folder....please confirm my understanding.
The Sheets Sets folder....I am not sure what the Name of my Home Folder is so I can substitute it for Your_User_Name.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
