In AutoCAD LT 2015, I'd like to set the default folder that opens when I click Open > File. Currently it opens AcOUCi.framework on startup, and once I select a file to open AutoCAD will return to that folder on subsequent open file commands. But if I close and reopen AutoCAD it returns to the weird syatem folder again. It would be awesome if I could set my project folder as the default on startup so I never have to see the 'framework' folder again 🙂

Hi,

I don't have such issue. If I open some files in AutoCAD, than it "remember" the folder of the last opened file on next launch.
I think you have this problem because of another problem you reported here:
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-general/autocad-lt-for-mac/m-p/5498249#M14546

If you need to Force Quit AutoCAD each time you want to quit it completely, than it doesn't save all settings to it's preferences file during quit (you Force to quit it). So it cannot save last opened folder address.

Maxim

Ah yes, that makes sense. I gave this a go by opening AutoCAD LT, selecting a file in the folder I want to open by default, immediately closing it so I don't have the 'Force Quit' issue, closed AutoCAD, and reopened AutoCAD. On the next File > Open it indeed opened right to my desired folder 🙂
