I imported a pdf of a site plan and scaled it for my use. I then outline x-ref'd it into my standard template where I drew over it (Site Plan.pdf). I created an annotation sheet (Site Plan Anno.pdf) then finally created a sheet for printing (A101s.dwg). They are all set at architectural scale units in inches at 1/32" scale. My problem is with the viewport in paper space: See A101s.dwg.

The paper size is set at 24 x 36 but the drawing in a 1/32" scale viewport is way too big for the sheet...it should fit easily onto it.

What is going wrong?

I really appreciate your help.

Maxim: You may recall from a previous post that I had a problem scaling the plan (site plan.dwg). I created the subsequent files (site plan anno.dwg and A101s.dwg) before I went back fixed the scale in site plan.dwg. I thought that if I was x-refing from a revised file (site plan.dwg) the corrected version will "flow" down. But suspecting now that it did not I detached the x-refed files and re-referenced them and they work correctly! I don't know why they did not use the correctly rescaled file but insisted on using the incorrect one - even thought I saved everything correctly.

Any way, Thank you so very much!!

Jeff

You are welcome and with xrefs typically only changes made to the drawing itself would be reflected. Since that drawing was already scaled up when xrefed into the drawing initially that scale factor remains until you manually change it which in this case would be as easy as changing it from 12 to 1….cheers!!!
