Suddenly Autocad will not display line weights in Modelspace. They display correctly in paper space, and print fine, just not model space.

The "Show/Hide Lineweight" button is checked. I created a new ctb file to test whether the current one is corrupt. At this point I'm at a loss.

Coincidentally, I installed a new printer on my system. I don't know if or how that would affect the issue.

Let me know if I should upload anything to better illustrate the problem.

Thanks in advance.

-Bret

In the past, I would control the display of line weights by checking/unchecking the "show/hide lineweight" button. I would still like to control it this way. However, whether I set LWDISPLAY to on or off, it makes no difference. The line weights will not show.

I'm confused as to what has changed. None of my settings have. I've been known to "fat finger" a change to the settings every now and then, but I don't think that's what's happened, Is it a bug with the latest update? I should say I'm using the most up to date version of Autocad for Mac 2017. Like I said, the only change that I am definitely aware of is installing a new printer, but I don't know what that would affect lineweight display.

Hi Bert,

Switching LWDISPLAY ON and OFF is the same as using "show/hide lineweight" button.
If you want to see line weight settings from Plot Style table in Model space, you need:
- turn on "Display plot style" in page setup
- turn on "Show lineweight" (or set LWDISPLAY to ON)
- in paper space lock viewport you are working with (if you don't want to loose scale settings)
- activate viewport and work in model space from Layout.

Maxim
