I only get straight lines trying to input using surveyor's units

I have read and tried all or most suggestions here and on youtube but for some reason I can't seem to draw lines correctly using surveyor's units.

I have set up the units window to decimals, millimeters, surveyor's units in the @000 N 0d00’00” E format but all I get are north to south lines.

I have ortho mode off, dynamic input off, polar tracking off, object snap off.

I tried using wcs and ucs but no luck. I have the 2015 version installed.

When I had the 2011 version there weren't any issues but I am clueless as of what I might be doing wrong right now.

Hi Raul,

What macOS do you have on your Mac?
I tried in AutoCAD 2017 on Sierra and cannot reproduce your issue.
Can you post here command line history when you are trying to draw lines with survey input? Or post screenshot of the expanded Command window.

You cannot use @ to specify the starting point of a line (or Pline or much else): the @ symbols is used to denote you have already selected a point and this next one you type is relative to that point.

Hi Raul,

You have to input survey angles without spaces between letters and numbers, because as soon as you hit spacebar, AutoCAD treat this as the end of input and sends you error messages.
Try input @Anonymous,N35d40'30"N without spaces.

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt response.

Autocad will not let me input coordinates unless I use the space between the bearing and the coordinates if I uncheck dynamic input. On the other hand, with dynamic input checked, the software suggests the space by default for some reason. If i choose not to use the space, the dynamic input box turns red and will not accept the command.

Hi,

I just followed the solutions given here in the forums, and followed some of the links provided by the people who responded to similar issues.

They mention to use @ in order to indicate that the next line must follow the previous line or point given.

However, I have tried not using @ as well and unfortunately get the same results.

Look at screencast I made on my side in 2017 version:

I use dynamic input and input this (exactly, without spaces) from keyboard:

@1000<N30d20'25"E

after I pick start point.

Tomorrow I'll try in 2015 version.

There was something wrong with my keyboard configuration and it was using a similar but different character for the minutes.
