Hi,

Why have you decided the rectangle you draw come out wrong size? Are you using numeric input to set rectangle dimensions? Have you checked dimensions with DIST or MEASUREGEOM command?

If rectangle came out of visible drawing area you just need to use ZOOM command with Extents option - you will see everything you drew in the drawing.

Maxim

I recently switched from PC to mac, but so far, so good. I was just starting the second version of a plan, but when I try to draw a rectangle, it's coming out the wrong size. It's so large, it's off the screen, and when i tried to draw a square, it came out as a huge rectangle. I downloaded the new update, shut off my computer, but the problem is still there. It's happening in all layers. Help! These floor plans are due on Friday.

Thank you,

Constance Hall

I think there’s a glitch in the system. If I draw a 54” line, it comes out as expected. If I draw a 54 x 36” rectangle, it’s way beyond the extents of the page. Plus, the measure function is not operating. All of this worked up until a few hours ago.

Constance
What do you mean by "the measure function is not operating"?
Do you get some alert about error from AutoCAD?

Can you attach your drawing with 54" x 36" rectangle?

Maxim

When I click on tools, inquiry, measure…then I designate the endpoints (or whatever) it doesn’t give me an answer. It requests length, circumference, etc.

How do I attach a drawing?

You can find the results of measurement in the Command window - expand it with F2 (or Fn+F2) function key on keyboard, then look for the result after you pick points in the drawing area:

You can attach drawing in "Attachments" section of "Post message" page:

Thank you. The issue is resolved. I spoke to a human who helped me get everything set up correctly. I forget what the setting was that should have been clicked, but basically it was putting all rectangles into absolute coordinates.

Thank you to all who tried to save me!

Constance
