Cant modify layout paper size

The current paper size is showed in inches - 8.50X11 and i will like to change it to A4 210X290mm

when i try to modify it in the "page setup manager" as a default i cant see the modify button.

No modify option

Please help!

And i have another question please.

How do i change the measurement units from inches to mm?

I already changed it as a default unit (like when i draw a line), but when i measure something with measure tool its still shows in inches.

Hi again,

It didnt work.

I'll try to explain the situation from the beginning.

I changed the default units to mm and created a basic floor plan. then i downloaded a title block and opened it in another tab.

Then i moved to the layout page and used the measure tape to check the size of it and saw that its 8.5X11 inches. then i moved to the downloaded title block tab and measured it as well and it showed 210X297

then, i changed the layout page like you told me. measured it again and it showed me the the width is ~11.7 (which is the equivalent to 297mm)

I copied the title block from the other tab and paste it in the layout but it was huge. apparently, the 11.7 that i measured wasn't inches, but mm. so when i changed the paged like you said it change it to a different size.

also, when i check the setup of the layout page again it does show my that is A4 but i measure it t says that the width is 11.7. also, when i try to draw a line of 297 its much much longer, which also means that paper didnt changed although the setup says it did.

It seems like everything got messed up between the inches and the mm.

Please help me!

If you want to have metric drawing units and want 1 AutoCAD unit = 1 mm, then you need to start your drawing using acadiso.dwt template. Then everything will be measured in mm, including Layouts.
Be careful when you insert elements (title blocks, other blocks) - they could be prepared in the drawing where 1 AutoCAD unit = 1 inch (or some other measurement unit). Some blocks will scale automatically on insert (if information about units were saved during their creation), but some will not.
