Exploding images and making them part of the drawing

Hi,
I need to insert wiring diagram either from PDF or Tiff image. I need to make it as a part of the drawing, not keeping it as an additional file.
For sure I did it in past, but not sure if it was on AutoCAD LT or on full AutoCAD.

Will be very appreciated you if you remind me it.

Tried to use Help or so, however didn't find anything helpful...

You can always use Windows Snipping Tool and to a screenshot of the area you want to capture from whether TIF or PDF and then Paste that directly into your LT dwg.

yes, but it will be a full image; and also the resolution of the inserted image is not enough...

I am trying to follow, however it is not working.

First, the image is still like a block, I need it to be exploded. And also I need it transparent, not white. Also the quality of the image is very poor...

You can try the INSERTOBJ command

At the Insert Object window select Create from File

Then Browse to the PDF or TIF to see which comes in at better quality.

Thank you very much! I will try it tomorrow and will let you know if it worked. I believe it solves the resolution issue. Does it also help to explode the image???

It would no longer be classified as an image but the object is now embedded with the dwg

That's never been an AutoCAD/LT ability: you must be thinking of a completely different program. Sorry.

"PNG and GIF files can be that, noting else, if they where already set to be that in the image way before you brought them into AutoCAD (PROPERTIES command will them let you turn that on)." - I did it selecting IMAGE under Properties menu, then used to turn TRANSPARENCY off.
I did it in 2019, don't remember what AutoCAD was.
I am trying it now, however it is not working...

Just wanted to clarify, the second statement related to "how to make image transparent", not to "how to explode the image"

1) AutoCAD (and LT) cannot explode images. Never have.

2) AutoCAD (and LT) cannot make transparent an image that does not support it or have it already there.
