Thanks for the responses. I ran into a few other issues due to Dell updates. I lost my monitors due to the bios update, so I have been dealing with Dell about rolling the bios back. They want me to reinstall the bios to see if it happens again....

I have all available updates installed.

I turned DFXDX12 to 0, it actually performed a little worse with it set to 0 so I set it back to 1

I turned advanced mode to intermediate mode and that seemed to smooth things out some.

I went to task manager, selected the task that was the efficiency culprit, clicked on details, then set priority to HIGH, it was previously set to low. I am going to see how this works for a bit. I will update you guys in a bit.

I started working to modify an old drawing this morning. It seemed to be plagued with the skips, the cursor would skip across the screen, if attempted to create a block out of an object, the moment I went to pick a grip point it would lock up for 2 to 5 minutes. When I looked in the Task Manager, I noted that the application has some cute little leaves out beside it under status. This tells me after the last Windoze update that the application is now set to operate in efficiency mode. This is causing me some issues as Windoze 11 seems to be an unnecessary memory hog. When I attempt to move the application from Efficiency mode the option to select or modify "efficiency mode" is grayed out. In other forums I have noted that this means that Windoze 11 seems to think that this is a core application and will not allow me to modify the efficiency setting. Running AutoCAD 2023 LT stinks because of this.

I am running a Dell XPS 13 9315 with a i7-1250u 10 cores and 16G of RAM. This has worked excellent for my needs up until now. This is a business machine which I am the administrative account holder. I have set no restrictive permission limits on the machine at all.

Is anyone else having issues or does anyone have any ideas what to do to resolve this issue?

Did you contact Dell Support yet? Do that next. Then Microsoft's User Forums to see if this is indeed an update issue or not (important you actually find out ASAP) https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum?sort=LastReplyDate&dir=Desc&tab=All&status=all&mod=&modAge=&advFil=&postedAfter=&postedBefore=&threadType=All&isFilterExpanded=false&page=1

In the meantime...

Have you installed the 2023.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT: reverting to DirectX11 fixes similar problems for most users.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: if still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort in GRAPHICSCONFIG command. Any relief?

If you right click on the Autocad LT process instead of the web view process does it allow you to disable efficiency mode?

If not you need to contact dell

It seems that all that is available is finger pointing as to who is to blame.
I have learned to go to task manager, select AutoCAD Application so it displays sub applications.
At the bottom (at least on mine it shows webview2:https//installed-components/Autodesk blah blah blah, it will show the leaves to the right of it.
Select this line then right click. Select details this will open the details pane and typically it will show a highlighted line of text listed as:
Msedgewebview2.exe PID 27652 (yours may differ) description:AutoCAD (whatever variant)) Application WebView2: https://installed-component ..........
Right click over this line and select "set Priority" change this option from "low" to "high" I have not tinkered with real time yet.
This seems to help, try it out and let me know if its helpful for you.

Has anyone figured out how to turn this stupid leaf off? I just started to have this issue (as I avoided updating as long as I could) but now I struggle to do anything. Autocad now is very glitchy and just runs like POOP!!!

It does say high priority but lmao it's not.
