Scales added to annotative objects

Using AutoCAD LT 2025 and for some reason all of a sudden additional annotative scales are being added to my annotative objects while the "Add scales to annotative objects when the annotation scale changes" button is toggled off.

Do you have the latest LT 2025 updates installed?
