Hatch Editor not allowing use of certain pattern

Hi all.

My coworker recently shared a .pat file with me, which I imported into my support folder. It shows up in the hatch editor but when I click on it, it glitches. I click esc and it reverts back to the default ANSI31 hatch. I've tried adjusting the hatch scale, hpmaxlines, fill mode, checking the file name in the support folder vs. within the file itself. Nothing seems to be working. See below for pattern. (file name is ShinglePattern.pat) Any help is greatly appreciated!

"it glitches" means nothing to us reading your post: is there an actual error message (and what does it say exactly)?
Or is this a visual issue that we need to see from you in a screenshot?

Make sure there is a return after the last line.

Check the file with a text editor.

Ensure there is a blank line at the end of the file following the last non-blank line.

Hi - sorry about that. No error message. It freezes, the cursor blinks, the command line expands on its own, and nothing happens. When I hit esc it reverts back to ANSI31. I've attached a screenshot showing what happens after I click it but I'm not sure its very helpful. The pattern being displayed is still ANSI31.
