topic Cloud Drive Mapper - Network Drive (Excel OLE links) in AutoCAD LT Forum

Hi we use some software called Cloud Drive Mapper which maps storage to local drive letters on the computer. For example, I can map an online sharepoint document library to my T:\ drive locally, I can browse the network drive in File Explorer just like any other network drive. If I create a brand new .dwg file and then open a spreadsheet from my T:\ drive (which is an online sharepoint library) copy some contents of the spreadsheet to my clipboard and paste into autocad as special link. https://i.imgur.com/PHZrw3z.png when you restart the autocad the links break.

in the command bar I use OLELINKS and it shows me the link that got embedded it's always using the Remote URL link not the local link such as T:\MyFolder\MyFile.xlsx

If it used the local link we wouldn't have a problem, but AutoCAD must know that it's an online file somehow and then it breaks as AutoCad can't just simply "open that file" it has noway of opening the web version of the spreadsheet.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Perhaps contact Cloud Drive Mapper tech support and see if they have any experience handling links placed into AutoCAD
