I am trying to plot a 1:1 model space dwg, to print on 8x11" paper at a 1/16"=1' scale and I am so confused about scaling

I'm a beginner who is self-taught. I work for a commercial real estate company who doesn't ever need anything scaled to print. I do a lot of editing in 1:1 model space. I don't ever have to scale to print/plot. In model space I always use architectural feet and inches, and my model space is always 1:1. I resize the drawing to fit the page in viewport, as it doesn't usually need a scale. I want to be prepared for future scaling and to complete this project today and want to really learn this.

My question is, do I set the viewport scale AND the plot scale to 1/16"=1' or do I just set one of them, and which one? I have been researching the correct answer from yesterday at 2 pm until now and cannot find the exact answer so that I may learn this correctly.

I appreciate any help that anyone might be able to give me with my current problem. First time poster. Thank you!😊

it appears you've "gone off the rail" with your 12+hours of research, it would be easy to just show you in your own file.

Set the viewport scale to 1/16"=1'

Then in Plot window set that scale 1=1
