Inserting a block from the drop down box under Insert

I have lost the abilitly to insert blocks from library. I used to have this function on a side bar on my screen and it has disspeared - I have looked hard at all corners of both my screens in case it parked somewhere else.

So when I go to Insert in the Home panel and a drop down screen appears and I click on "Blocks from Libraries" nothing happens.

I tried putting the Insert block icon in my quick access toolbar and it appears but does not respond.

I have to use ClassicInsert to be able to do this which I have now placed in my Quick Access toolbar.

Would like to get "insert: - recent blocks - fravourite blocks - blocks from library" back and working.

Are you saying the blocks palette is missing on the screen as described here

No, I have the block palette. It is just not responding when I select any
of the drop down options:

1. Click Home tabBlock panelInsert.
2. Do any of the following:
- Click Recent Blocks.
- Click Favorite Blocks.
- Click Blocks from Libraries.

I can do 1. None of the options in 2. do anything I can see. They used to.
I think the pop up display is there somewhere but hiding. It used to be
docked on the right side of the screen but I did something once to minimise
it and somehow it vanished forever. I can still insert blocks with the
Classicinsert function.

Worse case you may have to reset AutoCAD
