Hi Judy, When you apply your solid hatch pattern you can adjust it's transparency or even change the transparency of the layer you put it on.

Hi, just curious to find out how I can shade in an area on a floor plan, so it doesn't look completely "black" in color, when I print the plan to a PDF format???? I thought I might be able to do it through "Hatch," but it turns out as a solid color, not transparant. Thank you, Judy

Hi, I tried setting mine at 90% transparant and it still printed all black, couldn't see a thing under the "hatched" area..................
