Retain/Repeat command with settings of previous action.

Im looking to save some time during work. I have noticed with a lot of the commands i am repeating myself.

For example Break

If i have 20 lines to break i am selecting F 20 times. Can i retain the setting of picking 2 points?

For example Rotate

If i want to Rotate / copy an object at 10° 20 times how can i repeat this without going through the process 20 times

For example Scale

Again If i have 20 boxes to scale i am selecting R 20 times. Can i retain the setting of picking C or R.

Is there an internal setting to retain the properties of the last action applied.

I have tried hitting return or spacebar but that only passes over a few commands and does not work when you are given a choice in entering the next command.

Welcome to the Community!

I am afraid that AutoCAD LT does not include this functionality. AutoCAD would allow the use of Macros and custom LISP routines but LT does not.

All I can suggest is to think of possible other ways to get your commands done. For instance, instead of breaking an object 20 times, perhaps array a line segment.

Rotate an object 10 degrees many times - again a Polar Array might work.

Thanks for the reply. When you are self taugh questions like that are never easy to find the answer. Working with other would help find alternative way but unfortunately im working on my own.

Maybe something for Autocad to think about for future updates. Seeing as you have to choose the tool every time even if you are repeating. This would make a lot of sense for Autocad to retain the command just applied and repeat with 1 or 2 clicks. Im pretty sure this is a feature of Microstation and a very useful one.

Is there anyway to send that suggestion to Autocad? maybe a simple option in the right click dropdown menu "repeat with settings" or a simple code that can be typed at the end of every command.

If you want to click on buttons you create yourself from scratch to take some of the repetition out of your drafting tasks, that's built into LT right now.

Your descriptions are a little vague for me to take a crack at it without more information. Pick one of your examples and write out fully all the steps you take per object per task so we can understand the steps then we can help you get started writing your own macros.
