Invisible dialog box

Using Acad LT 2016 when I select an annotative dimension, then go to the Properties box, when I click on the box to the right of the annotative scale to edit the annotative scales for that object, Acad sort of blinks for a split second like it's thinking about doing something, but the annotative scale dialog box doesn't show up.

I tried this on a Win 8.1 and a Win 7 machine, same response.

I'd swear a couple weeks ago this was working fine, the dialog box would open, I would set the scale as I needed, delete the junk, and all was well.

When I try other choices from the properties box they work fine. Like the drop down list for dim styles, quick calc, they all appear and work just fine.

Also, if I select the dimension, right click, I get an option to add/delete annotative scales. This also will no longer bring up the dialog box.

Any ideas?

Well, I guess I fixed it.

I created a new annotative text object, gave two annotative scales.

Selected it, clicked the box to edit anno scales, and the dialog box came up.

And now it comes up for the dimension I was trying to get it for originally.

Oh well, it's working. Not sure why.
