ERASING A SINGLE COLOR ON ONE LAYER

Hi there. I have a one layer drawing that includes multiple different colors. Is there a way to "select all" blue in the layer to erase, rather than having to individually select each blue object?

@lacee_perry you have QSELECT, FILTER or SELECTSIMILAR commands to use to pick only those blue items, then you can use PROPERTIES command to change that color. Is that enough? Or is there something else going on perhaps.

Sure, you can select objects by type or properties (like color) by command

QSELECT <- this is the best choice for your task

FILTER

SELECTSIMILAR (its not the right choice here, because you need to setup)

This definitely helps me with most of the issue. Now that I know how to "select all" blue, is there a way to specify individuals to exclude? Example: I have a 1000 peg hole grid on my drawing, and I want to "select all" to save time, but really need 4 of them to stay in place. Is there a way to "select all, but not these 4" etc...?

When you have done the select all, hold down the shift key and then select the 4 you want to stay. This deselects them.

You should really learn the main basics fast as possible (there are usere who doesn't know them, still after decades),

Read about it and TEST IT in a sample DWG, until you understand how they works.

Type in: SELECT<Enter>[F1]

Type in: OSNAP<Enter>[F1]

I would love nothing more than to learn all the ins and outs of the program. We were forced to take a crash course with a tutor because we had to switch CAD programs quite quickly (previously using FastCad). Just trying to navigate my way through in the meantime until I can dive in further later. The book for dummies has been helpful. lol
