We do very basic drawings. No reason to change any parameters.

Recently I have discovered any copied object is doubled. This is an incredible pain.

I have done, nothing, changed nothing. So why is this happening (probably some update), and how do I fix it?

Thanks for any responses.

Can you post an affected drawing so we can have a look at it.

Just describing the problem is not very helpful as we could make suggestions, which might work, but unless we see the problem for ourselves we cannot give a solution.

Explain in detail what command and methods you use to "copy objects" please?
And "doubled" means..?

How 100% sure are you that the source was not already "doubled" too?

Just your standard copy icon. Even selecting a single line to copy, clicking the copy icon
and placing the copy somewhere, creates a double of that object (or 2 copies-one overlaying the other).
If I were to copy just a dimension, move it to the side, then overwrite the dimension to add a word let's say.
You then see your change, and another un-changed one underneath of it.
The source material is a personal library that I created and am 100% sure that there is nothing doubled in there.
This problem just started yesterday, so a recent developement.
Created a file to send.
Copied some objects out of a drawing affected. Copied the whole object (as I did in the original file), and placed it in this one.
On the left you can see how they are originally. When trying to change a dimension, or simple text line, that is when you see the extra un-wanted copy.
It also showed when trying to delete a line. You would select it, hit the delete key, and it was still there.
This only started yesterday. Source material is a private library of drawings and am 100% sure it never did this before yesterday.

Interesting this just started out of the blue like that @walkerd0

I'm not able to replicate it at all here, but I don't have access to your library or DWG file where you see this, can you share for others to do the same?

And here is a very dumb idea: did you restart your computer yet? Worth a shot for weird quirks to go away sometimes.

Thanks

Your "original" is all doubles

If you use COPY command and only PICK (once) each of those elements, all the copies of it/them only create single copies, never double. You must be using window selection instead. See attached example of only single-picking objects to avoid someone else' doubles mess from being duplicated.
