Hi Folks...

i tried to look before I post, I know how nobody likes the duplicated posts.

i do a lot o Cad but on a begging level.

I work on cad for years, but always drawings countertops, never had to worries about scale. always prints what best fits on layout tab.

i was able to scale small drawings no problems...

now I'm helping a friends (he is an old dude and sometimes don't even wait until I process a command lol).

he has a lot (i think is 28 acres) and he wants to show to City hall they screwed him. (i think they took some of his land).

I was able to convert from PDF, re trace, re dimension, etc.

when I go to print, using paper sizes 36x48, im not able to match the scale 1"/40... he is only able to understand this scale.

I have the scale box on right corner, if I measure it on model model, I can measure exactly the 0 to 40.. when I print, the paper is smaller than his print out...

what i did was, at layout, delete the viewport, ctr+P, selected my printer, select the paper sizes, created a new viewport, made a rectangle inside the doted lines, changed the scale to 1 inches = 40 units... but I'm missing something because the scale doesn't shows the right one.

thank you for the attention...

sorry is for the confused grammar, not my mother language (I don't need to say it, you already figured out, right?)

Jorge

Draw a rectangle, in modelspace, at 36inch x 48inch.
SCALE it up by 480 (40feetx12 = 480inches).

There is your plot limit/outline in modelspace over your model I believe unless I flubbed the math somewhere 🙂
