LT - Paperspace origin

Hi!

Having an issue with getting a useful 0,0 point on my paperspace layouts.

On the A4 layouts ive just created, the blue right angled triangle origin point is in an odd/un-useful place on paper as opposed to being in the bottom left corner of the dashed 'edge of paper' line.

I've moved it via the move ucs function, but when i save, close then open again, its back to the original position.

Can anyone shed some light on what im doing wrong please?

Try the UCSICON command and select ORigin, this will place the icon at 0,0 (in model or paperspace)

Yeah i have UCSICON set at origin, thats how i realised the actual 0,0 isnt at the edge where it is normally.

Then it sounds like someone has changed the layout settings in the page layout manager! It would help if you could post a copy of the file (delete anything sensitive), but make sure it still shows the same behaviour. How exactly did you create the new layout ?

And in paperspace is UCS set as world?

Thanks for your replies!

I think I solved it, I created a new layout using the create layout wizard (which i hadn't realised existed) and that seems to have sorted it? The new layout has the correct placement of the origin point. I'll do a few more tests just to be sure.

Hi!

Yep, after lots of messing around with different things, I found that when I used the 'create layout wizard' (insert > layout > create layout wizard) that solved the issue.

Recreating with the LAYOUTWIZARD command fixed it for me, thanks!
