I'm using LT 2017.

I want to copy the file that contains all of the system variables from one computer to another computer.

Can anyone tell what & where this file is -- or how to do do it, if everything's not in a single file?

Many thanks in advance.

Jack Sands

System Variables are not saved in a single file. AutoCAD LT doesn't have this option, but AutoCAD has an express tool to do that.

Why do you need to copy the system variables?

Try reading the following link

http://www.cad-notes.com/how-to-see-your-complete-autocad-system-variable-list/

Then use F2 to call up the AutoCAD text window and copy and paste to a text file.

The reason why I didn't mention about SYSVDLG is that the OP said he is using AutoCAD LT. So that option is not available for him.

Several members suggested the system variable backup tool found in the
express tools menu, since I had said I was using the LT version - which
doesn't support the express tools, their suggestions did not work.

What I ended up doing was making a printout of the all the setvar commands
on my desktop and then matching the setvar commands on my laptop. Time
consuming, but worked
