topic TEXTMASK unkown command in AutoCAD LT Forum

Hello,
I have been advised to use the TEXTMASK function so that the text I have within my drawing can be seen through layers of hatching. I have AutoCAD LT 2015, and that function is unknown. Is there any reason for this? Has the function name changed, or is not offered in the LT version? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

It's not available in LT, only Full Autocad in the express tools, text can have its own background mask, but what is the problem you are having, a sample drawing that shows it would also help.

MTEXT has built-in text masking, give it a try. So can dimension text, and mleader text objects, but not single-line TEXT (aka dtext) objects.

Also explore WIPEOUT command for dedicated object you can sandwich between two entities.
