Block Attribute Text Justification Reversed

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can help. I'm new to Autocad & blocks so this may be super easy but I have an issue:

When I define the attributes for some block input fields I'm finding that when I justify the text 'left' it sits right or if I justify the text 'bottom' it sits top. Same for the opposite is true.

Can anyone shed any light please.

Your attributes are all sitting in the wrong spot for your left-center justification, move them: left justified text need to sit on the left of a box you want to keep them in, not the middle (or right like you have the larger ones).

Thanks for your response. I've just read back through my post and can see that I didn't explain myself properly.

There is an option/property where you define the justification for the block attribute.

In my example I have placed the text on a centre point and picked "left middle" justify in the options. What happens in practice is that the program places the text to the right hand side.

If I choose the Top option in the properties the program places it at the bottom.

Top, Bottom, Middle left is the base point (justify point) relative to the Text,

changing this property is not changing the XYZ-Position of a Text(or Attributdefinition).

Thats nothing to do with blocks or specialy for attributdefinitions, that basic knowledge

about using the properties palette.

Change of Justify changes the justify, change of XYZ-Position changes the XYZ-Position of the base-/justify position.

But there is also command to changing the justify property and re-calculating the XYZ-Position in the same time,

command JUSTIFYTEXT.

I wonder if you need to use an actual TABLE object for your titleblock side bar, since you appear to want a cell behavior in your text in the squares... .

Now that I understand what the Justify option actually does I can work with that to get my text where I want it.

I've only been using the prog for a month so I'm just getting the hang of things.
