offset precision

is just me or the offset command is not 100% precise anymore?

it always has some sort of an error and is never 100% parallel.

Can someone explain it? Should I adjust some settings?

It's no different that is has been for the last 30+ years. Math doesn't change.

Can you provide some screenshots or a screencast of why you think there is a problem? Perhaps you are working in an area of the drawing where the coordinates are in the tens of millions or greater?

It could well be. How do I check that?

I have been using cad (full version) for a very long time never ever had this problem it started when we switched to CAd LT. It is my first time using it I am finding hard to adjust but I am not the one paying for it can't really complain.

just checked coupled of places:

Specify first point:
Specify second point or [Multiple points]:
Distance = 300.0773, Angle in XY Plane = 0, Angle from XY Plane = 0
Delta X = 300.0773, Delta Y = 0.0000, Delta Z = 0.0000

Command:
DIST

Specify first point:
Specify second point or [Multiple points]:
Distance = 299.9999, Angle in XY Plane = 270, Angle from XY Plane = 0
Delta X = -0.0002, Delta Y = -299.9999, Delta Z = 0.0000

It is extremely annoying... and it also happens when I offset new lines ...

Are you using Ortho to draw the lines or are you judging it by eye?

Do yourself s favor and check for Z settings of your objects and make sure you are not self-inflicting the error.
OR
Post your DWG file, let's all have a look at your work, point to the offset errors.

Thanks or the file: so where and how do I replicate your issue? I just offset bunch of lines with a setting of 100 and they all measure exactly 100.

I don't know....this drawing was done by full dimensions...somehow it changed.

See the drawing I attached in my last response, I offset a line, measure and dimensioned it. Tell me if you measure it wrong still.

Are you using object snaps and measuring perpendicular?

There are no Z value issues (though 22 lines are drawn upside down, normal z=-1). Can you offset a line and show us that area in the dwg with the issues you are seeing. If you can create the problem and repost a dwg someone might be able to reproduce it also or at least maybe offer an explanation/theory.
