I recently updated LT 2025 to the latest 2025.1 patch and now my Mleaders are acting up. I will have a mleader on a layer and when i go to add leader line to it, the layer changes to what ever current layer I have. For example, I create a mleader and put it on a WALL-ANNO layer. Then i change my current layer to WALL-DIMS. If I add a leader (doesnt matter if it done thru the ribbon button or right click on the leader) it changes the layer from WALL-ANNO to WALL-DIMS. It never was like that before. I could add a leader and it stayed on the layer I put it on.

Anyone know whats going on?

Hi,

nice catch. It looks like Adesk added a good thing (the new MLEADERLAYER feature!),

but someone made a mistake in the implementation and also used MLEADERLAYER for MLEADEREDIT.
My personal opinion: Clearly a mistake.

It is possible to set a default layer for MLEADERLAYER. Enter MLEADERLAYER, then replace "use current" with "WALL-ANNO". (Yes type in the quotes also) However this must be changed in every file you open. And if all your leaders aren't on layer "WALL-ANNO" then this provides little help.

Update:

No, the latest patch did NOT fix the original problem. The button still changed the layer to the current. BUT I did change the buttons command to MLEADEREDIT (as PENDEAN talked about above) and that works...for now.
