AutoCAD LT 2020 Message "Please wait.....formatting text"??

I am working on a drawing and I randomly receive the message "Please wait.....formatting text" and all drafting operations stop while I wait for AutoCAD LT to complete formatting the text. I've not had the problem previously and it is very annoying. It happens at random times and then almost always when I save the drawing. Pls help, I'm losing a lot of time just waiting for it to format the text!!

So the problem is limited to this one drawing you got from someone/somewhere else, and it does not show up anywhere else? Note: your LT2020 as listed in ABOUT command needs to be at the 2020.1.3 update level, update if not.

To whom it may concern,

I recently had this very problem and went internally to seek assistance.

The answer came rather swiftly … If you have the "Blocks Tool Palette" "Open" and parked somewhere … Close it.

My first thought was that he was out of his mind … until I tried it ... and voila, no more message.

Although this may only be one solution and part of a larger problem … it's better than nothing !

Do you have the 2020.1.3 update installed? I'm not seeing the issue myself.

You have to install the 2020.1.3 update: get it now.
